More about Rebecca

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Rebecca grew up as an avid fan of the arts, eventually attending the High School for Creative and Performing Arts where she majored in Vocal Music, going on to perform in touring bands in her twenties. In college, she studied Cultural Anthropology under a professor who taught a class on medical anthropology, laying the foundation for an interest in medical systems outside of allopathic medicine. Her firsthand experience with chronic health conditions, including Type 1 Diabetes and Hashimoto’s, which she's had since the age of two, fuels her commitment to creating an inclusive and equitable healthcare environment. She is here to listen, understand, and tailor healthcare strategies that recognize the individuality within diverse intersections.

Having trained under specialists in Sports Medicine and Acupuncture Physical Medicine, she treats physical pain and musculoskeletal conditions using channel theory, trigger point therapy, and motor point stimulation (neuromuscular acupuncture).

Combining Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element acupuncture is a cornerstone of her practice, with a special emphasis on employing trauma-informed care and treating emotional regulation. During an enriching experience as an intern with the Won’s "Go-To-Them" clinic, she delivered community treatments to veterans and rehabilitation centers in Philadelphia. These clinics focused on enhancing opioid rehabilitation program retention and addressing concerns such as addiction, insomnia, anxiety, and pharmaceutical dependency.

Throughout her practice, she's addressed a range of conditions, including but not limited to:
